Mental health is a delicate, fragile balance, constantly shifting between different states. Border Lines represents this movement, between well-being and distress. It evokes the movement of our thoughts, words and phrases repeated by our “inner voice”, and whose meaning it continually alters, as though telling us: “I am swaying” between worlds.

The three Border Lines animations embody this boundary and invite us to listen beyond the initial sounds, letters and words to uncover the hidden meaning of certain everyday phrases. Phrases that anyone might say. An invitation to pay closer attention to our own mental health - at home, with friends, at work, or alone…

Work presented as part of the “Human Inside” exhibition at Galerie Artverse, Paris, 2025.
