Inside Me

KARL

Analogue print and permanent alcohol inks
Mounted on aluminium Dibond

Inside Me questions our perception of pleasure and pain, two emotions with similar expressive mechanisms that call upon the same sincerity, yet whose truth and meaning are profoundly different.

This work belongs to the Inside Perception series, which combines photographic prints - created using artificial intelligence - with pictorial techniques. It invites viewers to reflect on the meaning of what they see: it questions the way we look at others, what we perceive of them and what we believe to be true. In doing so, it confronts us with our own image and with the importance that other people’s opinions hold in our own sense of balance.

Work presented as part of the “Human Inside” exhibition at Galerie Artverse, Paris, 2025.
