Flou explores the porous boundaries between perception and reality within the experience of mental health. Blurriness becomes a visual metaphor for psychological confusion, where points of reference dissolve. Judith Darmont questions this ambiguity: is it the filmed subject that is disintegrating, or the viewer’s gaze that is losing focus?
From this uncertainty emerges a universal experience - that moment when consciousness shifts and the contours of reality begin to fade.
Work presented as part of the “Human Inside” exhibition at Galerie Artverse, Paris, 2025.
